Infinity Photographic Studios specialises in newborn and baby photography at our dedicated studio in Chester-le-Street, just a 20 minute drive from Newcastle. Families travel to us from Newcastle, Gateshead, Jesmond and Gosforth for our calm, purpose-built studio with free parking directly outside.
The first weeks of your baby’s life pass so quickly. Our newborn sessions are calm, baby-led and designed to create timeless portraits your family will treasure.
02 / When to book
The perfect timing
Newborn sessions are usually photographed at around 7 to 14 days old, when babies are still very sleepy and naturally curl into those beautiful poses. It often fits well around paternity leave, so partners and siblings can be part of it.
We recommend booking from your 20-week scan, choosing a date 7 to 10 days after your due date. This becomes a floating appointment that we move once your baby arrives. Missed the early window? We can still photograph newborns up to around 6 weeks old.

We’re just off the A1, typically around a 20 minute drive from Newcastle, with free parking right outside. We’re also a two-minute walk from Chester-le-Street train station, and most buses run through the town.

04 / The whole family
Parents and siblings welcome
Sessions usually take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with a few Saturday appointments. Plenty of time is built in so feeding, settling and cuddles are never rushed.
I’ll guide you gently so you feel relaxed in front of the camera. Photographs with older brothers and sisters are often the most treasured of all, capturing the very beginning of their relationship.

good to know
Your questions
Do you photoshop me or my baby?
As a rule, no. We show you your images as they are, because most parents want to remember their baby just as they were. If you’d like dry skin or milk spots cleaned up, that’s no problem and part of the service.
Will we get images of all of us?
Yes, we encourage all parents to be in the photographs. We photograph you head and shoulders, so there’s no need to worry about how you feel so soon after the birth.
Can siblings take part?
Yes. Sibling portraits are simple, safe and baby-led. Our newborn sibling guide explains how we make them calm and beautiful.
When should I book?
Ideally after your 20-week scan, as we have limited newborn sessions each week. Book a date 7 to 10 days after your due date and we’ll adjust it once your baby arrives. If your baby is already here, get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.
